Staying at the Preserve

What is the check in and check out time?
Check in is 4 p.m. and check out is 12 p.m.

Can I check in early and check out late?
We are able to take requests for both an early check-in and late check-out. While we’re unable to guarantee early access or delayed departure, we do welcome you to arrive to the property as early as you wish on the day of your arrival. If the accommodation is not yet available to you, we are happy to store your luggage while you enjoy on-site amenities. The same applies to the day of your departure as well. Should a late check-out be unavailable, we are happy to store your belongings while you continue to enjoy the Preserve property.

Is there a dress code?
The dress code at the Preserve is Resort Casual. However, collared shirts and closed-toe shoes are required in our dining venues and our shooting range. Additionally, long sleeve collared shirts and closed-toe shoes are required for sporting clays.

Do you accept dogs?
Yes, select accommodations accept one dog per accommodation, weighing 35 lbs. or less. Please be advised that we will apply a one-time cleaning fee of $195 to your bill. We do not accept dogs in Hilltop Lodge and other select accommodations.Please call the Preserve directly to check availability of pet-friendly rooms.

Are children allowed?
We welcome children of all ages to the property.

Do you offer babysitting services?
Yes, we have a staff of highly experienced babysitters and are able to arrange for their services with advance notice.

What is your cancellation policy?
At the time of booking, we secure reservations with a $100 non-refundable deposit, which goes towards your room rate upon departure. Cancellations made within 7 days of the arrival date are subject to a penalty fee equal to one-half the total reservation for stays two or more nights, and 100% of the total reservation for one-night stays.

What does the daily resort fee cover?
The Preserve charges guests a daily resort fee of $40 (plus tax). The resort fee includes gratuities for hotel staff including bellmen, housekeeping and floor valets; complimentary nightly parking; complimentary snacks and beverages in guestrooms; high-speed internet access; all local phone calls and a selection of daily resort activities.

Do you offer in-room dining?
Yes, in-room dining is available to resort guests between 7 a.m. to 9 pm

What kind of kitchen supplies are available in the accommodations that feature kitchens?
Each accommodation with a kitchen is equipped with the basic cookware to prepare a meal, as well as serving sets for up to six people. Additional items are available upon request.

Can I have the kitchen stocked before I arrive?
Yes, we are happy to stock your kitchen with groceries with advance notice.

Where do you park and check in for accommodations?
When you arrive to the property, you will check in with the guard house who will direct you to the Main Lodge to start you check in process.

Can you stay overnight in the Hobbit Houses, Safari Tents or Tree Houses?
Overnight stays are not available in the Maker’s Mark Hobbit Houses the Safari Tent Scotch and Cigar Tasting Experience or the Tree Houses. Each is available for either private dining or as private event space for groups.

Activities at the Preserve

Is there camping on property?
Camping is reserved for Preserve and Ram Club Members only.

Can I have a gift sent to a guest room?
Yes, gifts, including flowers, wine or chocolates for guests can be arranged through our Guest Services team.

Can I enjoy the property without a guide?
Yes, our front yard activities and walking a paths do not require a guide. For our back yard and first-time Members and guests, a guide is required for select activities.

What activities are Member-only?
The following activities are reserved for Members of the Preserve Club: ATV, snowmobiling, property hunts, mountain biking, glamping, camping and treehouses.

May I use the Ocean House beach?
Yes, as a guest of the Preserve, Ocean House makes a limited number of daily beach passes available to you at no charge. Please check with the Main Lodge Reception for availability and/or to book day passes.

How old do you have to be to take part in shooting sports?
You must be age 12 or older. We do have Nerf archery available for younger guests.

Can I bring my own guns and ammunition?
Yes, please call for the Rhode Island state laws in advance. We have lockers available for use during your stay, at a fee.

Who can use the resort pool? What are the hours?
The pool is open to overnight guests and certain levels of Membership between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. daily.

Is the OH! Spa open to the public?
No, the OH! Spa is only available to overnight guests and Members.

Do you offer transportation?
Yes, transportation can be provided with advance notice and is based on availability.

Do you offer property tours?
Yes, tours of the Preserve property are available by appointment.
