Staying at the Preserve (FAQ)
What is the check in and check out time?
Check in is 4 p.m. and check out is 12 p.m.
Can I check in early and check out late?
Is there a dress code?
The dress code at the Preserve is Resort Casual. However, collared shirts and closed-toe shoes are required in our dining venues and our shooting range. Additionally, long sleeve collared shirts and closed-toe shoes are required for sporting clays.
Do you accept dogs?
Yes, select accommodations accept one dog per accommodation, weighing 50 lbs. or less. Please be advised that we will apply a one-time cleaning fee of $195 to your bill. We do not accept dogs in Hilltop Lodge and other select accommodations. Please call the Preserve directly to check availability of pet-friendly rooms.
Are children allowed?
We welcome children of all ages to the property.
Do you offer babysitting services?
What is your cancellation/deposit policy?
- 50% deposit required at time of booking, the remaining 50% will be taken 14 days out from arrival.
- If arrival is within 14 days of the time of booking, 100% of the full stay room and tax will be taken.
- The penalty if a guest cancels within the 14 days is 100% of full stay room and tax.
What does the daily resort fee cover?
The Preserve charges guests a daily resort fee of $60 (plus tax). The resort fee includes gratuities for hotel staff including bellmen, housekeeping and floor valets; complimentary nightly parking; snacks and beverages in guestrooms; high-speed internet access; all local phone calls and a selection of daily resort activities.

Can I have the kitchen stocked before I arrive?

Activities at the Preserve (FAQ)
Is there camping on property?
Camping is reserved for Preserve and Ram Club Members only.
Can I have a gift sent to a guest room?
Can I enjoy the property without a guide?
Yes, our front yard activities and walking paths do not require a guide. For our back yard and first-time Members and guests, a guide is required for select activities.
What activities are Member-only?
The following activities are reserved for Members of the Preserve Club: ATV, snowmobiling, property hunts, mountain biking, glamping, camping and treehouses.
May I use the Ocean House beach?
Yes, as a guest of the Preserve, Ocean House makes a limited number of daily beach passes available to you at no charge. Please check with the Main Lodge Reception for availability and/or to book day passes.
How old do you have to be to take part in shooting sports?
Can I bring my own guns and ammunition?
Yes, please call for the Rhode Island state laws in advance. We have lockers available for use during your stay, at a fee.
Who can use the resort pool? What are the hours?
Is the OH! Spa open to the public?
No, the OH! Spa is only available to overnight guests and Members.
