Firearms Classes now available at The Preserve at Boulder Hills

In preparation for the Grand Opening of our state-of-the-art indoor shooting range, we’re offering a series of firearms classes targeted at beginner shooters. Hit the books now and complete the classroom work. In a few months our construction will be complete. You’ll want to spend your time practicing in the longest indoor underground range in the country.

Available Firearms Classes

  • NRA Home Firearm Safety Course A 4-hour safe gun handling class focusing on firearm safety rules, how to load, unload, use and clean firearms, proper storage techniques and more. This beginner class precedes the NRA Basic Pistol Shooting Class.
  • NRA Basic Pistol Shooting Class A combination of classroom and range time learning safe gun handling, shooting fundamentals and positions, and skill development. This course qualifies new shooters for a resident and non-resident pistol permit license in MA, CT, ME and FLA.
  • Introduction to Pistol Shooting An 8-hour class covering all the basics in both the classroom and on the range. If you’ve ever wanted to learn to use a firearm for lawful self-defense this course is an ideal choice.
  • Other Options In addition, we’ll also offer a series of personal self-defense classes that do not involve firearms. All of our classes are taught by industry-best professionals with tremendous amounts of experience. Our new indoor shooting range is ideal all year long, especially when outside conditions include pouring rain, flying snow or off the charts heat and humidity. With four rifle lanes at 150 yards, 16 rifle and pistol lanes at 33 yards and no caliber restrictions, The Range at The Preserve at Boulder Hills provides year-round shooting opportunities.

The Preserve Academy Firearms Safety Training

The Preserve Academy, located at The Preserve Sporting Club & Residences, offers a comprehensive curriculum that includes Firearms Safety, Tactical Training, Martial Arts and Survival, and so much more. Our faculty was hand-picked from America’s most accomplished professionals in a host of relevant disciplines.

Collectively boasting in excess of 25 years of experience, the faculty includes Special Forces Weapon Sergeants, law enforcement and S.W.A.T. veterans, active and retired ICU physicians and nurses, and multi-degree black belt holders. They pride themselves in working with enrollees at all skill levels, from novice to expert. Law enforcement training and certifications available.

We also offer a number of pistol permit certifications that are recognized across the United States as well as several NRA certified classes which are listed on our courses page.
